About Us

Mission Statement

Third Road Theater animates the Beauty and Wisdom of stories from humanity’s collective mind for a modern audience. We sing, dance and spin yarns from around the globe, both ancient and immediate, with the intention of weaving our broken pieces back together. We believe in the power of live storytelling to heal and transform through the resonant exchange between the Artists and the Audience and the Story itself. Third Road Theater plants mythic seeds of Imagination into every heart, hoping they will grow into a New Story. Imagine. Imagine a story where all people born on Earth have the Love and resources to Be, to Belong and to Become. Imagine a New Way forward. Imagine a Third Road.

We are a versatile company, available to perform as a solo storyteller, a duo, a trio or a grand company with a range of artists, dancers and musicians. Let us know your vision, and we can create it together.

Mythic Lens and Archetypal Exploration

As humans we are born with physical bodies, more or less the same the world round - torso, head, arms, legs etc. Likewise, humans are born with Souls that share a similar shape, a common through-line, a shared journey and collective yearning.  Stories are the map to this inner landscape. Through the lens of Myth we see the greater human themes emerge. They contain vital information for the healing of ourselves, our beloved Earth Home and our shared evolution.

After a performance, Third Road Theater loves circling up with the audience for a deep dive into the Archetypal themes of the story, the characters, the imagery, the Hero's Journey. During this modern time of great turmoil and pain we must rediscover the wisdom of the Soul. What is lost can be found.
